    Contact Management Systems

I wanted to ask other performers what they are doing for a contact management system: post-its on a wall, ideas for good crm software for entertainers, what are other people doing to organise and manage their contacts system.

    Thanks!

We have a gmail account that we forward all "mailing address" emails to and my assistant pulls them for an excel sheet and then updates the list at iContact. So we have an excel of everyone we know and an opt-in list of people who want the newsletter.

I haven't been able to find one that's useful for only one or two people. If you have a large staff, you should prolly pay for one. I searched and tried and I am still using the mac default addressbook and blackberry.

Try ACT! or one of the specialized programs for magicians.

          Manager Sal

          I just stumbled upon this...

Not quite what I need, but looks nice and simple to use.

There are one or 2 just for magicians, see http://www.magicbasepro.com/... and this on-line one salesforce.com

              CMS for performers

Well, I found one that I am really liking.

Track leads. Manage follow-ups. Instant setup. Zero learning curve.

I can keep track of my contacts, send email reminders to my email inbox, keep track of deals, and probably some other stuff that I haven't bothered to learn how to do. All for the price of free. I suppose I should upgrade at some point, so that I have more options in terms of keeping track of documents, etc, but for my little business, this seems nice and adequate. The interface is really intuitive and easy to use.

If you click onto plans and pricing on the right hand side in red, and then go to the tiny fine print under the plans, you will see that indeed they have a free account, for people like me.

I encourage other performers to try this contact management system, then post or write me to let me know your experiences. I am interested to see if others find this as helpful as I do. 37 signals is a very highly rated company.

              Cheers!
