We are not strippers or in witness protection. Her content is so conservatively rated G (her choice) there is nothing to hide from. I just worry about someone taking too much of the wrong type of interest in her. She is my only child. I unfortunatly can't have others and I worry about all the ways I can lose her. Not just her life. I also try to weigh my fears against smothering her. I try to give her space while still being protective. It is a lot of work on my part, to restrain myself. Just letting her stilt took effort. After that letting her make money at it was somewhat easy. She loves it and how many people get to make money at something they love?

You are right I would probably let an event or newpaper use her first, last, and performance name. Just so she could get the publicity. I'll start with Heather M. Than I'll see where it goes, in a couple of years she'll be an adult.

To ease your concerns I want to let you know that almost everyone who visits her site will be people legitimately looking to book a performer for a real event. The other people who visit will be friends and family, and other performers checking out the competition. There might be some visitors from events she performs at who have become fans, and those people will already know her name if it's printed in the event promotional material.
Other than that, your little corner of the web will be so unnoticeable that you could post your social security number on it (don't do that).
At the end of the day, if the name thing causes you anxiety then don't do it. She's still a kid and there is no rush to be famous or anything.

It's totally awesome that you are so supportive and involved in your daughters life. She's lucky to have a mother like you.

Thanks for the advice and words of comfort. It did and will help me to give more information. But I think I'll take your advice and keep our socials to ourselves.

I feel I have gotten some good advice here and will put to use all of it that I can.
