The "quotes" and articles in a promo pack

I've been auditioning for some new members and when I am getting promo packs (and what I've seen of other friends and such) they all include quotes from random people or Xerox copies of clipped news articles.
I've also seen it as being pretty ever present on the websites of collegues.

I literally don't read the articles and doubt the quotes. Quotes can be made up and no one would know and the articles, well, they can be listed as part of the media section on a resume.

I want to feel the person out for myself. I want a resume to see the experience. I want to hear the audience reaction on a video. I want to see samples of the performance, in print as well as video but live is best.

So, are these things important to you?
    Why or why not?

    Thanks!

Actual full articles - I think are less important. Just seeing that they were in certain things is good enough for me.

As for quotes - I think they are great. Can't get enough of the quotes. Sure you could lie about them if you really wanted to - but you could just as easily lie about anything else on your resume.

    love the quotes

      letters

In our promo pack I include full copies of the numerous letters we receive from event planners.

And I put them on the website as well as a few short quotes as well.

This is one way of establishing credibility. I also use a lot of photos and video.

      Cheers!
