I think it will work, but here's making it better, because I met you and I liked you and I want you to be represented better.

I prefer voice-over to text. I prefer illustration to voiceover. If you can show me what you want me to know that's the best. You should show me.

get a good shot of your face, even if you have to use a photo.

don't use so many cross dissolves in your edits. cross dissolves are best for showing the passage of time (ie: begining of gag *dissolve* end of gag). Over-use slows down the tempo of your vid. don't use any tricky transitions. just straight cuts on the beat of the music.

if you have any close up angles, even if they're not super descriptive, it might help give the thing energy.

if you're not having any practical audio at all, at least show some audience response.

I got the impression that you do something different. I thought it was clever verbal comedy based on historic literature and stereotype. If that's what you really do, don't show so much juggling, and put practical audio in. Even if you have just one monologue with laughter uncut under all that cut up video, it will do the job better.

I am not a stickler for showing exactly what a show is, but your personality as I remember it is more sales-worthy than the juggling seen in this video.

I listen to director commentary. I don't remember the movie, but the director said "In the book the main character was sending home a series of letters. For the movie, I desided to use small gifts because they more visually told the story."

Will look at swapping out pedestrian juggling for more content-based clips.

It's not the whole movie, btw, just a quick overview scan. The DVD I'm cooking up has 2-3 min sections of the historical comedy for the auditor to peruse.

the longer sets are fine later, but that promo video is long enough for them to fall in love with you. You gotta make that happen.

Add in a couple close ups and more content, subtract some of the juggling, switch titles to voiceover, bring in some of the audio from the show (subtract the LedZep for those, or run the audio simultaneous?)

priority #1 is for people to be able to understand your words no problem. Keeping the music would be nice, but if anything messes with your lucidity, kill it.

yeah, if you're using final cut, do some color correction. raise the contrast and make it more saturated just a touch.
