    I.A.F.E.

I have recently started booking State and county fairs. Fortunately, This past year I performed at the State Fair of Louisianna. They resigned a contract for this year and passed on my info to several other fairs. I have booked the State Fair of Arkansas, the Iowa State Fair and several large county fairs in the midwest for this summer. I am looking to travel May thru November and comeback to Pier 60 for the winter.

I have yet to join I.A.F.E. But I am considering it. I also see that most states have their own associations. (Florida Federation of Fairs...)

Iquess my question is is how neccessary it is to join these? Has anyone NOT gotten a gig because they weren't a member??

Do most of them only hire members??

yes, I have not gotten a fair because I was not a member of their association.

international association of fairs and expositions.

it encompasses the state, county and agricultural fairs across america and a bit into Canada.
