Selling Posters

Any words of wisdom on selling posters after a show. Poster size, price, etc.

11x17 is the size I would go with. It's common (so cheaper), just big enough to be a real poster, and small enough to carry.

The design is going to be really important. You should have a painter make it, or someone like le pire. Don't get someone who just likes photoshop filters or some crappy artist. Pay someone who you don't know to do it. Find them by compairing portfolios online. http://www.craigslist.org

I am working with a local artist(painter) on the design. He is very good. We are working on a design that will market my show, however, also be interesting as an item to buy.

I'm glad I am headed in the right direction.
