    hmmmmmnnn

Either everyone has their promo...doesnt need one.. they who are going to Edinburgh dont read here...have no desire to have one...or think its going to be too £much...

It is terribly terribly terribly expensive and I shall be taking all of your money...

Serioulsy! though, Im going to be in Edin and as my rented flat is right on the mile, just above the coffe shop up from the festival office I should be able to get some high shots...

    heres to Edin...

        pesos

Hey Zoobie...millions and millions of pesos, or lira, or rupees, or rials, or pre war German currency (inflationary times...)
Havent ratified a price as yet,as I feel I dont want to charge too much...but it will include all the following...
        Taping of 3 shows
        2 camera shoot
        High definition stills
        50 copies (more if required)
        Design and printing on dvd
Design and printing on wrap around cover in plastic sleeve.

Also if previous footage is available that can be included. Format can either be vhs, disc dv tape...but not betamax (have to draw the line somewhere). And time permitting! to have product ready before leaving Edinburgh...

So...what would you think it to be worth.

I will have copies of dvds done as examples...

Are you experienced shooting performance video? I was thinking maybe I could throw some biz your way.
I put a fellow busker's "Professional Street Performer's Association" logo on Busker Central and he started getting orders from Turkey...ha ha. I put a few chapters of Shawn Leban's and Ace Starry's books on, too, and I'm sure they sold some. So you never know...

It sounds like you have access to complete the full monty.

            experience...

I have a modicum of experience, as I did my own...Scoot(Australian juggler), Joseph Damour Bouffan,a compilation for Nelson Festival..am working on one for Newcastle Festival...
I have 2 movie making studios on my laptop, and have fairly high definition video cameras and a high def stills camera...
Im not as experienced as say an esperienced videographer but the work I have done has been well received. the shoot, editing, choice of music, transitions, text, special effects, design and overall look.
Just a performer who has an understanding of what a fellow performer may require...and I enjoy doing it(editing...)
If you have some videoing work abroad, I would be interested, obviously any price would include millions of pounds sterling for transport...

Try making 3 packages of basic, advanced, and deluxe and their costs.
Nobody will pay much attention to you if you don't have a price in front of them they can compare with.

                finally

Hey Zoobie, thanks for the heads up as it were, I will put out different prices , based on just a plain shoot and download to disc, plain shoot with titles, edited shoot with titles and effects, and edited shoot with titles/effects and copies...
Can work up a good product but my marketing skills etc obviously leave a bit to be desired...thanks again.
Planning of having a wee brochure ready for the festival...( a brochure of sorts, probably a tri folded piece of A4...

Shooting performance video is getting down and dirty & high and mighty for those angle shots. Otherwise, you'll just end up with standard footage anyone could shoot. There's already lots of amateur performance videos taken by little Sally and Bobby on their families holliday posted at places like YouTube and mySpace. Shakey with poor lighting considerations, this is definitely something you want to avoid.

When you've got the packages and prices, post them here in a new thread. I'm sure we'd all like to see what you've come up with. Then, maybe I can figure out some way to promote you.
