I'm actually NOT that good at design, what little progress I have made is the direct result of having my ass handed to me when I asked for critiques on poor work. All glad handing ever did for me was encourage me to continue in a bad direction.

I think the argument here actually stems from differing core philosophies, that's fine, you be good cop, I'll be bad cop, it all balances out somewhere in the imaginary karmic wheel of half waking life.

And yes, I'll still work on your site, as long as you NEVER call me old again...

If you ask me, or anyone else alive, a web page that plays music is the most annoying thing on the internet, maybe even the most annoying thing in the entier world. That is the only comment that I have, because I do not take the time to look at a page that plays music.

my post took very little time. The way eric and I both progress in our selves is by shouting internally, "you are not good enough." contentment and support are great attributes for the proletariat, but we are trying to be good at special skills that free us from the enslavement of our class.

You want people to be heros. You want people that do more than ever expected, but you nurture the regression of limits. You're watering down america's heroes.

I don't think bustar wanted constructive criticism, but here's some (just for one page - the rest are just as bad):
        JEAN BLAXALL
dividing her name into jean bla and xall is just confusing
        your fonts don't work together
        there are too many fonts
        the colors are ugly.
the header image is low quality, confusing and ugly
there is no alignment anywhere on the page.
there is uneven white space everywhere
if she's an artist, why does it look like she's just a highschool girl on a field trip?
        where's the art?
don't use blah for block text, use lorem ipsum.
blue grey white and horizontal lines all give the idea of a proffessional, stable, big business. That is not helpful. No one needs to trust an artist. They need to see she's creative fresh, and valuable.
it looks very dingy, sad and depressed
the site doesn't snap to the top of the window
        the kerning on everything sucks
ginjeani or whatever it is is hard to read
the blue lines between paragraphs are stupid and break up the page too much.
the photo needs color correction and cropping. The links don't work
        there's no content
you're not going in any direction with this site
        it looks like atemplate
it looks like you're just throwing together design ideas that you've seen before.
a copyright is unnecessary and just takes up valuable footer space.
it doesn't validate as html http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...l%2Findex.html
the link color in your footer doesn't match the site.
Everyone of your font choices (besides 'times') were bad.
        the footer shouldn't be times
the painting has a weird grey line at the bottom
you should recompress the painting as a jpeg instead of gif
        same with photo
cut the text off the side of the painting unless you're having it expand to a readable size.

Now, look at what you've done. It seems there are fewer things on the page than things you have done wrong. That's why I said 'wow' keep on working, you're on the wrong track, but don't let that stop you.

              Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the opinions and critique. I know my web sites are not top quality at all but I have an interest in these things so I enjoy doing them.

I thank you for your critism and i will take it on board.... I did post here to get constructive critism as I do want to improve. I am a teenager trying to get better at what I do...

Saying this everyone is entitled to their own opinion, some people say they are bad sites, some say they are good.

I never posted here to say look "I am the best!" because I know I am not. I just do it for a bit of fun...

Thanks to all for the critism (its good to hear), I do not look at this field (website design) as a job, its just a bit of fun. Friends and family just ask me to help them out every so often and I do.

Performers.net is a great place to meet other performers and hear there opinions etc. so thanks for all of your opinions.

I only started doing web stuff about a year ago and did courses at TAFE etc to try and get better, we are all born with a talent, maybe one of mine isnt web design, but we never know until we try....

Its a new thing for me, so thanks again for all the help.

              Cheers,
              James

I am confused at what it actually does?
