Thats true, i think logo may of been the wrong word, but either way Evan still created a cool design that will help sell his product if that's his goal.

I like the second one (with Evan's picture) because it is odd and suggestive of who knows what. I love the "x's" in various places, because we don't know what his destination is. I also love the puzzled look on his face. It makes a great postcard / sticker, but it is definately not a "logo." Scot's design is DEFINATELY more of a logo, but it says to me "overnight delivery, GUARANTEED!."

Do you guys read what i write?

I just want it to be clear that Jonathan Burns created that second design. And I too thought it was more of a layout than a logo.

anyway, thanks again for your imput. Scot, I hadn't thought about using a globe with NO details. I think I like it. And I like the font too.

yes, it's quite clear Evan. What's also clear is that it is a good design, but if you go to print, then it will have to be 300 dpi & the photoshopping around your hair will have to be cleaned up.

                true
the pic is actually out of date. I have lost every piece of clothing I was wearing in that shot. Scot took that picture of me a couple years ago in LA when he was living with the rubber boy.
                sigh, SO.
I need new pics. My nice new professional digital slr camera just developed a problem so it got shiped out for warrenty repair. I'll take some nice, new, royalty free shots of myself specificly for this design when it comes back. Until then I'll keep working on a bisic logo.

and... shout out to Jonathan for a killer design. I'm sure he would like us all to know that he is a designer for hire.

Thanks for the "Mad Props"... (I never say that... but it felt kind of good.)

I hate to toot my own horn, but here I go... If anyone would need assistance with logo/graphic design and the like, please visit www.brokenlegdesigns.com. I'd be more than happy to help you out.

you know, it's REALLY hard to re-take a photo that you took years ago (believe me, I've tried). The energy is different and you change over the years / months. It's best to just go with the moment and be yourself.

Royalty free... hmmmm. A couple of years ago when I was in England and looking for new pics, something a bit experimental & a bit weird I put an ad on a message board at a London school of photography (figuring student photographers would be edgy & CHEAP) and one of the people who responded said she would take the pics, but retained the rights to them and I would be "licensed" to use them for one year and then would have to "renew" my license and pay royalties for every use.

I told her to go fuck herself. Who the fuck did she think she was... or better yet, who the fuck did she think I was?

Royalties & licensing only really count if you are doing some big publication, and making the big $$$. Outside of that, it is a one time service, and you pay for the product IT IS YOURS TO DO WITH IT WHAT YOU WISH.

If a photographer starts doing this "royalties" shit with you, dump them.

                    étienne

p.s. epilogue: This "photographer" is now a waitress in Stoke-On-Trent.

p.p.s. Glad you lost the bow tie. You really don't want to look like Tucker Carlson from CNN's CrossFire, do you?

HAHA. Deff not. that guy is a prick. here is what I look like now (baltimore harborplace auditions). I hope it's better.

As far as photographers go. I'm just really excited to be able to take shots of myself because I can re-do them whenever I want as many times as I want for FREE!

                        Blond.... James Blond

Do you think I'd get away with using this reworking of the classic Bond logo ?

                          Name that diabolical cliche

You know that drama symbol/picture with the comedy mask next to the tragedy mask.
Does that have a name? I need to source it so that I might cunningly subvert it for my own logoistic needs.
