    Struggling for ideas...

Those of you who have seen the New York Street Boys show: any ideas for new bits? I know it should be up to us to come up with something original, but there's been so much input from laymen's (sp?) people of what we should include, so i'd love for any input from actual performers who have seen the show. Those of you who haven't, I'll disregard the bullshit comments that most of us put up on these type of posts. Thanks, y'all.

Not about your show (have not seen it) but your website's home page has a .jpg on it that is only about 200X250 pixels but is 641KB! Not only that, it is blurry...

I would suggest that you resize the images and resave them at a more reasonable level...

i've already told you this, but i'll say it again...
your show needs a rubber chicken screaming into a bullhorn. that will attract the monster crowd you desire.

thought about doing some audience participation? get a small kid with a cow bell and a stick, the kid is now the beat keeper. you play to his beat. you could get an old lady to get up and drum too, that would be funny.

      p.s. the chickens miss you.

Stop me if you've heard this......

Somewhere in your show you could attach metal garbage can lids to your feet and do a "stomp" dance. or use plastic lids and do a soft shoe shuffle a la Gene Kelley.

maybe you could put kittens inside the drums before you use them.
          Or a volunteer

            BAM

I'm just back from NZ and OZ. BAM from Canada was at the CHCH buskers festival. What impressed me was that their "set" consisted of actual stories or skits. Certainly not something I expected to see.
