Hunter: Like the fire eating vid on your site. The accidental shadow on the face worked out really nicely.

          scott,

Those might be great. It's hard to tell, since the colors get all weird on the computer, so I don't know if what I see is what you made.

Send the printable size, though. Even if I can't use 'em - I'll keep 'em for future reference.

          Send here: thom@flyingcatcircus.com

          Thanks

                      Hey man,
If you want to incorparate a trick into your business card theres a good one in "modern coin magic". Where you have a business card with a small triangular hole far too small to fit a coin through. Then above the hole write something like "can you fit a half dollar through this card?" then below it put "Ray wong can". Then use a folding half or something in a hankercheif and perform it when you give them the card, that should help them remeber you. I think there a DVD out at the moment with techniques for producing a business card. ever thought of getting it screenprinted on a deck of blank bikes? then incorparate it into a trick ..."is that your card"..."no its mine".
                      any who,
                      that is all,
                      Ben

                        Duh?

Surely a photo of you or your act is more to the point than a logo?

critique this card s'il te plaît

I am looking to get a batch printed; and I was thinking of getting this color front with the BW on the back leaving room for clever witticisms (as per suggestions on this thread)

                            Hey, Hunter.
Take into mind what it's going to look like once it's shrunk down to actual card size. If it helps to visualize, try actually shrinking the image down, just to see it.
I think the font for "Let's do this" is difficult to read at this large size, let alone, once it's small. I'd suggest changing that.

Same rule goes for logo/graphic design vrs. photo. Imagine it small. ...I think you're particular photo will read just fine small, but as a general rule, take into account what sort of silhouette the photo would make.
Generally, imagine blacking out the image entirely... would you still be able to tell what it's supposed to be?
This is why logos and graphics usually work best for small items like cards. One flash of the card and you'll know what that image was.

Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.

                                what do you do?

I would list what you do...juggler, magic, fire eater etc, so a potential client does not need to wonder or think about it, they can see the image and know in an instant what you do.
