sponsorship?

I have a question regarding sponsorship. My show revolves around a skateboarding theme and I'd like to get free stuff. There is a skateboard company here in Vancouver that I would like to approach for sponsorship.I have written a letter that explains what I do and outlines what I can offer this tham ie [img]tongue.gif[/img] roduct placement and shameless hype. Also in the letter I assert what I'd like from them ie: free stuff. I have a full press kit(phamphlet, video, resume ect...)

My question is-
should I just mail this stuff to the shop or go down in person and deliver the package?

Also, is there anythimg else I should include?

Thanks Martin, I already read your article and found it useful. I think I've got everything together that I need. I'll post my experience for all to see. I plan to drop the package off in person tomorow, we'll see how it goes.
