So I'm finally ready to move up to my first PA system. The drawback is that they're damned expensive and I don't have the money to just buy things willy-nilly. I will be selling my 140W soundsystem at the end of this Canada tour - I only bought it for these gigs and will be travelling overland to the US afterwards and dont want to lug around before going back to UK

So I finally cracked and bought a headset, receiver and transmitter. It all looks really good but then I realized the receiver has a big old power cord. I'd never even thought about double checking that the receiver be battery operated. Oh well...
