    Rope source

If you're willing to braid your own eyelet, there's a great source for rope in Chicago -

    Windy City Parrot
We help you learn what to buy for your pet birds then where to place it and/or how to use it

    2007 W Fulton St, Chicago, 60612 - (312) 492-9673

They are super helpful over the phone and sell the right kind of rope very cheaply. Ships anywhere.

I'm looking now for a larger diameter rope, 1.5-2" /40-50mm. Someone was telling me the the Marine industry used to supply this but everything has recently shifted to synthetics.

I'd hate to have to pay so much from a circus supplier if I could get the rope by the foot and splice it myself.

Hey Thayr, I'll ask at the 'office' tomorrow and get back to you. We've got both a Corde Lisse act and a Cloud Swing act in the show. They use some sort of wicking covered rope and would know of good international suppliers.

The Cordes Lisse act at the circus gave me these:

Industrial rope and netting systems for safety critical operations. Trusted solutions for helicopter external load, utilities, and public safety markets since 1978.

I personally have not dealt with either of them, but if I were looking, this would be were I would start.
