I made my sub trunk. It was really easy.
I drew a simply plan of a box and worked out the size I wanted. Worked out the size of each side.
It is really basic, lid and 5 sides, back is on hinges. The hinges can be bought in a DIY store. The sides (board) can be cut to size for next to nothing at a timber merchants. They were connected via a simple soft wood frame (2 X 2 will do and it's light). You buy it all, take it home and then screw it together. And paint it.
Consult anybody with any carpentry experience. It really is a doddle.
Just remember, screws not nails.
