    safety rolo bolo

anyone willing to sell or tell me where I can get a safety kid rolo bolo for my 4 year old to use? I am looking for the kind that has a strip/groove on the underside of the board so that there is no twisting.

    thanks,

I've seen them in skateboard stores. They called them balance boards.

Klutz used to sell one-- it's in the back of the 1975 edition of "juggling for the complete klutz" that I have in a box somewhere.

I know The Incredible Larry Vee uses one in his act-- you might ask him where he got it, but he probably bought it from klutz in 1975...

I have seen them for sale in a juggling store in Paris called Bonjour l'Artiste! It's on the rue des trois freres, in the 18eme arrondisement. Best juggling shop I've ever been in. Hands down. They even sell medival crossbows.

I did a google for rola bola (which I'm sure you have, too) but it didn't turn up anything. In France the thing is called a rolla rolla, so I'll try that...

I recall seeing something like that a national store like Discovery or Kay Bee Toys. If I come across one I let you know.

            Michael,
My son Alex, uses a regular tube & board rola bola. the pipe is much longer than the width of the board, so the board doesn't come off. He is 8 now, but has been doing it for a few years. I think the best help is to work with him. i stood in front, and held his hands. even now he is light enough that if he were starting out today, that i could lift him up off the board, out of harms reach. why spend money, when the supervision and "quality time" is worth so much more.
besides, those other boards are just wussy boards. you don't want him to be a wussy juggler do you?
            Larry

Your childs Rolo Bolo Sir....Just noticed the date of post!DUHH!

(You need to ask me these things,) It's called a Bongo Board

This is just one of the companys that sell them
Not only do they have stops at each end but they also have a track that the board has under it so you can't twist off the roller.
another company that sells them as well as stilts, unicycles, and other cool toys is Back to Basics I don't know the web add. but a search should turn up something
