    Chair Suspension

Looking for a good condition version of this classic (and really bad) magic trick.

If you've got one, sell it to me.

someone was selling one on here a while ago. i think if you go to the FOR SALE page, and look at the post titled "lots of stuff for sale" posted by freddy, it will take you to the link of stuff he is selling. if i remember correctly, he is the one who was selling it.

Hank Lee can get you one for about $350ish. Mak Magic makes this version and it isn't too bad for using with kids under 100 pounds or less.

Done well, this is a great trick. Unfortunatly, it isn't done well very often. The Robert Harbin routine for this is amazing. Steve Spill & Bob Sheets had probably the funniest version of it I've ever seen. You can see it on tape in "Steve Spill's Comedy Scrap Book". The tape is also available from Hank Lee's Magic Factory for about 20 bucks.

Hank Lee's can be reached at:

since youre in New Orleans if you didnt know Harry Anderson has a magic shop in the french 1/4. Its on Charters 1 block off jackson Sq. since you are at the square anyway why dont you go talk to Ishtawa(I probably massacred his name) He is a magician there in front of the cathedrial who uses the levatating chair thingie. Or Big Easy Magic on Dumaine they might be able to help too. And I still havent met you swing by the pitch some day.

Just so you know, Harry's place is vintage magic (expensive collectors items) and is open by appointment only.

I've got Doug and Mark (Big Easy Magic) looking, but I'd love to get a used one as an R&D model.

            Ishtawa scares me.

Thanks for the help and I'll stop by and introduce myself soon. Every time I come by you guys look busy and I hate to bother a man at work.
