    The Frantics & The Comedians

    Hey folks!

Looking for a copy of the old Vinyl album, 'The Frantics-Frantic Times' and the coffee table book, 'The Comedians'. The album is great Canadian sketch comedy only available on vinyl and the book is a great photo book of film, stage, and TV comics throughout the ages.

    Thanks

    Andy,

There's 6 copies of the book on ebay right now:

    http://search.ebay.com/cgi-bin/
    texis/ebay/results.html?dest=&cobrandpartner=
    x&tc=&ht=&st=&textonly=n&query=%22the+
    comedians%22&allebay=1&ebayregioncode=39&
    SortProperty=MetaEndSort

That link should take you there.

Try doing a search for the Frantics while you're there. The album you wanted wasn't there but there's new stuff all the time.

    Jim

      Damn,

I had no idea that would happen...

The long link screwed up the formatting of the page. (In Netscape anyway.)

        Jim:

Thanks but that is NOT the same book. Unfortunately there are a couple of books of the same title. The Comedians by some guy named Greene is a fictional tale. The Comedians by God knows who is a great coffee table book with exceptional black & white and color photos of many comedy legends. These pics were accompanied by great interviews, bios, and odd facts. It was an awesome book and I should have just bought the damn thing many years ago when I had the chance!

Thanks for looking though. I appreciate it.

I did however find THE book on eBay. It's called simply, "Comedians" Thanks again for the suggestion. I noticed your quotes around the search criteria and decided to just type in comedians...Ya-HOO! Hopefully I'll finally have a copy of this way cool book.

This new format has already helped out. Cool!

            Andy,

When you described that book, I realised that I OWN it. It's the one with Robin Williams on the cover by Arthur Grace.

Duh. It was sitting 6 feet away from me on the shelf. I forgot I had it. It's a soft cover. I got it at "Buck-A-Book" (a bargain/seconds bookstore in Boston) for $8.00 about five years ago.

            Great book.

Ebay, once again, saves the day.

              LOL!

Glad you know which book I'm looking for! I've actually won BOTH my auctions on eBay so I'll have one for myself and one for a great gift!

              Thanks again for the help.

Now if I can find that album!

Boot to the Head is the only album on that list that is from the comedy group. The other albums are from damn musical group that stole the name. I've been fooled before

But thanks for looking. The album is on vinyl and out of print. The title is, 'The Frantics-Frantic Times'

If there are any collectors out there I'd sure appreciate the input. Hell, I'd settle for a copy of the darn thing on tape!
