I'm travelling around Australia starting at the last week in december and was trying to find reasonable housing...most of the hostels in sydney seem to be booked that time of year....will be travelling doing my magic street show. Any help is great!

have just got over to Australia for 10 days and am staying in DownTown Backpackers for $20 Aus a night. Free internet useage also. A hostel with shared rooms...Hope this is of help

There is a lovely hostel in Glebe called "Wattle house" It is more like a bed and breakfast. it only has 26 beds in the whole hostel and its a 15min walk from the city centre. Plus Glebe is a fantastic area. Oh yeah, its about $20-25 a night, well worth it, especially if you are performing alot and want somewhere that you actually sleep!
Otherwise try a web site called 'Bug reviews' It is a place where backpackers write in about hostels and review them. It has always been accurate.
do a search on Google for Bug reviews sydney and that should find the page.Comment
