Hello. I am new to all of this and am trying to make a go of performing. When I was in college in 1981 a group called the Royal Lichtenstein 1/4 Ring Circus toured our campus in central Indiana. I thought they were fabulous. Has anybody heard of them? Does anybody know who they were or how to possibly contact them? I don't know if I am just reliving my past or what but I feel the need to get in touch with it. Thanks for any help. Also, I would appreciate any hints on getting started in NW Indiana. I don't know if I am ready to go towards Chicago just yet.

Couple of urls poped up in a google search.
Lots more, if you do the search. Might want to send off emails to each of them to see if they are still in contact.

I typed Royal Lichtenstein Circus in the Yahoo search box and came up with this URL, which lists dozens of circuses. You may want to try your luck at some of them.
<a href="http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/5542/bad_circuses.html[url="http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/5542/bad-circuses.html"]Circus" target="_blank">http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/5542/bad_circuses.htmlCircus Addresses</a>
OOPS! I just noticed it is Headlined "Circuses To Boycot" (due to animal cruelty!)Comment

The Royal Lichtenstein Quarter Ring Sidewalk Circus (RLQRSC to make it easier from now on)was foundered and run by Nick Weber, a great performer and Jesuit priest. He was in his mid 50's when I was with them in 1985
so I'd be very surprised if he was still knocking out those breathless one hour extravaganza's and driving 500 km every day for 6 months at a time (hey who knows, anything's possible). Prehaps someone else picked up the reins.
The address you found was the right one back then.
Many good acts went out into that little ring of theirs before successful street show careers, Joey Joey and Dana Smith to name but a few.
Hope you find them..

Wow! Dom, Stickman, Worldwidese, thanks for the help. I am in the process of looking them up. Dom, how was it traveling with them? I was not an entertainer back then but their show sticks in my mind as one fantatic breath of fresh air. I believe it planted some seeds in my head about performing. I don't know if I can do it but I feel I need to try as it makes me feel alive when I see an audience entertained and riffing with me! Once again, thanks for all the help! This is one of the greatest sites I have found yet!Comment
