Circus Artemis: Portland's very own All-Women Circus!
Circus Artemis combines outstanding performance with an empowering opportunity for Portland’s women to take to the stage. In October 2009 we presented three amazing sold out family-friendly shows which left audience members inspired, dazzled, electrified, and demanding more!
Well, Circus Artemis is back for round two!
Get ready to be inspired and empowered again, because Circus Artemis will be presented the weekend of May 21-23, 2010 at Staver Locomotive.
Our May 21-23, 2010 lineup includes some of the city’s most mind-blowing female circus acts:
A-WOL Dance Collective (aerial and dance),
Brittany Walsh (contortion/hand-balancing),
Daniela Steiner and Kyoko Uchida (circus trapeze and acrobatics),
Kricket Caffery and Shireen Press (single point trapeze),
Jenn Cohen (cloud swing),
Night Flight (aerial hoop),
Revolva (hula hoops),
Indigo Teiwes and Shireen Press (acrobatic glow poi),
Shersten Finley (aerial straps),
Sy Parrish (single point dance trapeze),
Tera Nova Zarra (strong woman),
Zephyr Nelson, Maria Thomas, Izzy Thomas, and Matilde Thomas (juggling),
Sarah Liane Foster (MC),
Vandy Bennett (ambiance)
