Have you worked in Indonesia?

Can anyone give some insight on the work permit process? From the Indonesian Embassy's website, it seems like it's a pretty simple and inexpensive process - letter of invitation, two photos, pay a fee, get a work visa.

Has anyone done this, and was it actually that easy?

- I'm American
- I'm talking about a booked gig with a corporate sponsor to write the letter of invite, not street

I have friends in Bali who have gone through the lawyers for their bussiness and one who has a retiree visa - both performer/family of
Although I would ask the client to deal with it as they probably have a better 'network' within the govt./immirgration
