    Europe Pitches

    Greetings all
Looks like I have most of July free inbetween gigs in Austria/EJC
Wondering if I can get some advice on good street picthes around there
Or even further afield in Europe
Ive got 2 English speaking shows Fire and non-fire, amplification necessary
Any advice and indeed any offers of places to crash would be MUCH appreciated - as we all know that paying for a roof over our head can eat into hat-age
Thanks for any advice i advance and hope to see you out there

I'm a musician, your mileage may vary.

I've had good luck in Linz, but if one of your gigs is the Pflasterspektakel you might want to go elsewhere. Innsbruck was good to me, but Salzburg seems to have restrictions (I didn't have a problem, but I was there briefly and I think I just didn't get caught). Northern Italy is a pain; Trent and Bolzano are both very restrictive, but further south I've had luck in Modena and Ferrara (though after about 15 July Italy empties out as everyone hits the beach).

I can't personally vouch for Ljubljana but it might be a someplace to ask about (Gav?). I'm not sure how far afield you're looking to go, but most of my experience is in southern Europe. I hope the tour treats you well!

I too have a few extra weeks in July... I'll be in the Swiss end of Europe.

Try towns around lake constance/ Bodensee.
Basically if it's summer school holidays in Germany / Austria / Switzerland, look for a place with a lot of water and camping and you'll probably find a pitch.
Try searching(web and image) for 'strassenkunstler' + the town your interested in, to see if people work there.
        For instance 'strassenkunstler friedrichshafen'

        It's all just logical really.
