Street Performing in Vegas

I am travelling to Las Vegas in a few weeks and was wondering where some good spots might be to busk there. I play acoustic guitar and sing. I typically use a battery powered combo amp for both the guitar and vocals.

Does anyone have any experience street performing there?

I was in Vegas last week, and I can tell you now, it's not really open to busking, at least not in the Fremont area. Was told I couldn't play anywhere near the Freemont St. Experience. I ventured a couple blocks away and there wasn't enough foot traffic to make it worth it, nor did it feel safe. Maybe next time I'll try on the strip, but I have a feeling it will be the more of the same.

You were probably run off by security. They have no authority.
Freemont is an open street, however the ten casinos around it have created a shell company called the Freemont Street Experiance LLC that is contracted to "manage" the "property" of the pedestrian mall. Recently they have tried to say that we are limited to a 50' area or so. The ACLU chief council is really quite upset.
