    Places you HAVE to go

So I've learned that I need to travel this winter and polish the hell out of a street act. It's a little too chilly to hit the streets here in Canada. The question then is where to go? It's a big and open ended question though so I figured I would ask here.
I've read through the archives about various places, but I want to know, where do YOU recommend? Any big festivals or cities that are a must visit over the next couple months?

I spent alot time in Capetown too, maybe 4 years ....awesome fun. Thinking of heading down again soon.
Wally loves it there, but small bankrupt North Atlantic islands have there charm too

Well, i don't work on the cold street, the place i work is kind of an out door mall, with security and lights and stuff...very friendly place...i wouldn't work cold sidewalk style, it can be a bit hairy. but, i just did a show at about 8 oclock at the waterfront after the band finished, and i had the coolest audience! (okay it was a small crowd, the season hasnt quite kicked in yet) but yeah, im all in favour of night time work at the waterfront!

but, like i said in the other posts, im nopt really sure whats going on with the privatisation of the waterfront, i'll let you know as soon as i know. because, its probably one of the nices pitches in the world if all works out okay.

during the summer i plan to do shows on the beach front camps bay (soo beautiful there) its not ideal street peformance conditions...but shit, id be really happy to have more people hanging round to bounce ideas off of how to work the pitches as im really just starting out.

oh yeah, i rckon the waterfront was kicking folkes out that did fire (what do you do mimi?) i'v noticed the trends of people not filling in their profiles, so its not from lack of effort i ask this question.

              Profile

I really miss the old profile so you could know who, what, and where, and the expertise of the person you where talking to.
              Jim could you fix that?

Well, I suppose I can just say...

I'm from Edmonton, Alberta. I've mostly been doing corporate roving acts juggling and on stilts but I much prefer the street. The street show I do is so new that I don't know if it's really useful to describe it, suffice it to say that it's done on stilts. At this point the material is any gag I can think up that gets a consitent response.
