South Street Seaport Dismissing Performers?!?

What does that mean?

Just curious how the whole seaport audition thing works out. Do you
just show up and find a pitch and work it? Or is the whole thing organized?
Like waiting your turn or something to that extent? I kinda see as a
day where you can work that pitch without being booted...?

On another note, has anyone worked the outskirts of the property to
catch the people on there way to and from the this area?

What about Timesq and Central park areas and Museum?

Performer News: Seaport Busking Cancelled 2013?

To Whom it may concern,

I have received news from a long time South Street Seaport Busker that the program is being ended 2013.

Is this true?

Anyone care?

I believe these are just rumors. From my information the program has not been discussed yet. The Seaport was hit hard by Sandy and they are scheduled for re-development in June or July. This does not mean the program is off the table.
