London in July

I'll be in London for several days from July 6 on. Can you recommend any places to look for street performers - specifically magicians?

Covent Garden. You'll find them all there. The magicians work around the corner.

I did make it to Covent Gardens and saw a couple of performers. One juggled torches on a slack rope and one did an escape from chains while standing on a ladder.

Perhaps because of the oncoming rain and the lateness of the evening, I didn't see any magicians.

How is London in September and October? Covent Gardens and London Eye for Americans? Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.
