The South Street Seaport auditions are on May 1st this year.

Dear South Street Seaport Supporters,

The Auditions were held indoors at the food court area due to the rain. Over 70 acts auditioned. Of them, 40 were accepted for this years roster, says coordinator Joan. I am thankful to to one of the acts that will be there.

The Seaport is increasing many stage and scheduled events in hopes to keep GGP open. I proposed a low budget busker's fare again like 2005, with the store "coupon" idea for ads but it is not being considered for this season. Perhaps next year.

The South Street Seaport Street Performer season annually starts on Memorial Day Weekend.
