    on/off

well, Seb., technically it is spelled "pissed off" but i'm responding only because i like the idea of getting Peace-ed off--liked the opposite of getting war-ed on. just gave me something fun to think about. thanks.

    ciao.

      upon reflection....
i have been taking myself way too fucking serious lately. sorry about that. could be partly due to the fact i quit smoking 10 days ago. my horoscope says this which i thought quite ironic...
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): What country has more sand than any other?
With its vast deserts, Saudi Arabia has got to be near the top of the list.
Nevertheless, the Saudi government forbids the export of sand, worrying
that it might eventually run out due to its construction industry's
demands for the stuff. This irrational fear reminds me of you, Leo. You,
too, have a certain bountiful resource that will never be depleted -- and
yet you're chronically worried that it will. Please adjust your thinking. It's
an excellent time to get more realistic about the true nature of your
      abundance.

gav... croatia was great. i worked at varazdin. the crowds were very different from the italian crowds i'm used to. but after a couple of shows i got things working well. it helped learning 20 words of croatian. the other performers talked about you and your show quite a bit. i'd like to see it. i most likely will be back in august.

          elbonko,

Just noticed where you are from.... Cleveland!! my home town. Gav is in Zagreb and your in Cleveland.... the world is getting smaller for me all the time. Your only 4 1/2 hour drive from me... when summer gets rolling you oughta check out.Newport On The Levee , i checked out your website and i think your show would go over well down here. I still got family up there what part are you from?

thanks for the tip--i'll check it out. is that a paid deal or a busking thing?

i grew up in Euclid, lived all over the east side and now reside in Painesville. how 'bout you?

              elbonko,

Newport on the Levee is strictly busking for entertainers but the Levee does pay bands to play every weekend in the summer which draws a pretty good crowd as that is free entertainment for them.

As for me, I grew up in the old slavic village area of E. 55th and broadway ave. .. used to be a lot of polish, serbian, croatian, and hungarian families. over the years all the old Europeans have ether died off or moved out to parma and the place is definately "da hood" now. My brother lives near E.71st and harvard ave and i still have a bunch of friends all over.

Personally, I found Rome to be overrated and not as enjoyable as working Verona or the small town sagras. But that's just me...
