Can any one recomend pitches|countries that can be worked in the run up to Christmass on main land Europe? If not internationaly?

Rome is certainly worthwhile - Piazza Navona and Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere for circle shows, Campo dei Fiori for musicians and smaller acts. I haven't done it in December, but I've had good luck there in January and I've heard that the holiday tourist crowds are quite generous!
