    Boulder Colorado

I am planning on going to Boulder Colorado in 2 weeks. I have never performed there I could use some help please. I have two questions and any insights that other performer could give me would be a great help.

    1. Is there alot of magicians performing currently? I have another act I could do but would prefer to do magic.

    2. I know for act such as fire you need insurance. Does anyone know if you need insurance for magic shows?

    Thanks in advance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is usually no more than 1 or2 magic acts there. They will line you up with what you need when you get there . It's a great place. Enjoy. Try Aspen.

you don't need insurance if you don't do anything dangerous.
last time I was there there were no magicians, but I'm totally out of the loop this year.

Do you have a point of contact in the city (if needed) of Aspen?

              Thanks

No contact needed. Just show up. Last time I was there other performers were a bit territorial but if you're not doing fire or machete's you shouldn't have any police hassles. The police station is close to the pitch. Stop in and ask if you feel need.

Thanks Richard. I feel no need to go to police station.

Aspen's the best! Their should be no permits there. The 2nd week in june is the wine tasting it's always good 3rd week in Telluride for bluegrass then back to aspen for the 4th of July week end. All of July should be good. Mention my name and you'll get a good seat, in the restroom that is. Let me know how things work out. I worked there over 20 years You have to camp out there on the back roads just out of town, maybe up castle creek road to the end.Enjoy

Alex, I think I remember you saying how you hate it when you aren't allowed to use amplification (some post way back when). Boulder is one of those no amp pitches, and I think Aspen is too.

hate is a strong word - strongly dislike - I knew boulder was no amplification - anyone know for sure about aspen?

                              it's certainly not magic.

more of a 45 minute energyball. check out our site for more info.
