If you are looking for a summer pitch and want to spend some time in Florida, here are a couple of ideas...
Clearwater Beach Pier 60 is a sunset festival modelled after Mallory Square in Key West. Show runs 2 hours before sunset to 2 hours after sunset. Pitches are limited. Hats are small, But it's 7 nights a week and no travelling involved. Also, rooms are relatively easy to find and inexpensive.
Daytona Beach, the best unkept secret, in Florida. With permit, you can work anytime, day or night, 7 days a week. Hats are NICE!! Permits are limited and can be obtained from DINO at Joyland Arcade or Mardi Gras Arcade. Rooms are inexpensive and very close to the pitch.
It is VERY hot in Florida during the Summer, but most pitches are night time spots.
