busking spots

Hi,
going on a mini busking tour in May and have been out of the loop for a few years.

Anyone know of the best spots in Brussells, Cologne, Vienna, Saltzburg and Budapest?

Any permits needed, and is it poss to work day and eve - have a circle show and a glow show.

Hey there,

Cologne, Vienna and Budapest are places I have worked.

In Cologne you play near the Main Station, up the stairs and around the corner. In Vienna, the main pitch is beside the main church in the city centre. You will have more fun if you speak German, but most Germans will understand English.

The second weekend in May is a holiday in Germany.

In Budapest you can play in the main square. You don't make a lot of money but it was still fun.

I didn't have permits for any of the places and didn't know if I needed them. In Germany there is a general law that allows artists to perform on the street, unless it is stated otherwise in the city laws.
