Barcelona aint great rigth now...
Shows are only allowed on the lower part of the rambala.
modest amplification are more or less tolerated (rules says 70 db)
Crowds gotto be kept pretty small, otherwise police will complain about it.
The catedral is probably a better pitch to play at. some people do it , but its illegal and if you are unlucky you migth get your stuff confiscated, but you will probably get a way with a warning first time. -

Todd when I went San Fransisco in the early 80's there name was "crate slugs''. And I played my banjo! What a great city . I had a fun experience there every day, from hate ashberry to the wharfs and fish markets to the black sand beaches across the Golden Gate and more. But you said it best " It wadn't for me"...Comment

Barcelona is not a good place to perform right now...yep. too many problems...but there is a street performer asso called ABEC (associacion Barcelona Espectaculos de Calle) and they are doing all they can to make it better, to get more and best spots... I was performing at the Cathedral before, and it's one of the best spots in the world; I hope will get it back.
