Peter I use to work at church street market and church street station down town just off interstate 4 . Datona is ok and Clearwater is ok .Ask Dallas about that. He's the busker coordinator there. -

Just a couple years back I worked Church Street on the fringe
did OK.
Then made my way inside and was told to leave although they
waited till I was done and made some money.
They use to let people busk but they don't have insurance for it
any longer.
So I would talk to Dallas in Clearwater, he is a good guy on top

Church street is dead
I've been there a few times. Once, over labor day weekend I was "allowed" by the police to work because dispatch said as long as I never asked for money they'd have to leave me alone. The next time however they wouldn't even call dispatch they just pointed to the blue boxes on the sidewalk designed for panhandlers and said that was the best I could do. There is only one around Orange ave downtown and it's about 20 feet from orange at main.
Church street last time I went through was all empty shops and late night nightclubs only. Dead as hell during the day. This was in 2006 and 2007. The area just doesn't draw well. Orange Ave is your best bet if you can get away with it. I made over six hundred in four days over that Labor Day weekend. That was in 2003.

Church St.
Church St. died several years ago. I performed there several times with Bruce Sarafian (spelled wrong) ( Guiness Record holder for 11 ball flash) At the time, church st. was like getting into Disney.
