Hola todos,
Here I am, in Buenos Aires...I get here one week ago, and already started to perform. For those who don't know me, I do Street comedy magic, and juggling. I have two shows...a small one, around 15 mn long, and a big circle show, good for large squares.
Now, lets go to the reason of this message; For all of the performers who whant to come and perform in Argentina, If you get to Buenos aires, you can perform in many diferent places; Florida street is the main pedestrian street, where you can perform smalls shows, music, panthomime...every days from morning to night. I tried there small shows; good hats, realy good audience, no permit required. The only problem is that there is many local performers who won't share the spot, so you will Have to find one, wich is not always easy. Then you have the recoleta area; its a park with diferents spots, good on saturdays and sundays(mostly sundays), If you have a big show, this is where you have to go. no permit required, but always the sames problems with local performers. On sunday you can go also at San Telmo area, good for small shows, every sundays they close a street (make it pedestrian) and there is a lot of performers there. I also heard, but didn't tryed, that all over the city there is a lot of squares where you can perform big shows on weekends. The city is huge, so I won't be able to try them all, you will have to discover by your own where itīs better for you.
Well I think that's all for the moment. The main things you have to remenber, is that where ever you perform in buenos aire(except at the port) you won't have to get any permit, but you may get problems with local performer, and if you decide to come here in Summer (january, february) bring light clothes...it's realy hot here now.
My next destination will be at "Mar del plata", normaly, no permit requiered there, and it's the main touristic place in Argentina in summer. Let you know more when Iget there.
I hope this informations will be usefull, and sorry for my English...it's not perfect..I am French, you know; french don't speak English. ohohohohoh
Seb.
