NYE slow for anyone else?

Last year I had three teams work four New Year's Eve gigs, this year, not even a phone call (I also didn't actively try to book anything - I don't really like working NYE).

I've talked to a couple of other performers who are also noticing no calls for NYE.

Anyone else notice this? Any thoughts on why?

Yea, same here, got a NYE party for kids from 7 to 9 PM and a 1/1 gig for kids at 2 PM. That's all this year had a lot more last year.

One thing I think the reason is because all of the news about how bad the economy is here. My income, and everybody I know, is UP, but the news is telling us it's bad. So I think people are cutting back because they believe the news.

hey now - keep it in the family scot! Here I am in L.A. and you are offering up gigs to ladies half way across the country! just because I cant do aerial silks in flashy sexy spandex doesn't mean I should be passed over. although I'm surprised the angels aren't booked - I've been looking at actually going out to have fun on NYE this year and everywhere I'm looking has circus/aerial performers.
