hey everyone,

I've heard that there is some kinda
art-thing happening friday nights in providence Rhode Island in the summers
and there might be some kind of busking going on..
anyone know what the deal is or if there is someone to talk to or do you just show up or anything?
I'm in Boston for a month so I thought I would find out...

I believe what you are talking about is WaterFires. There is a website for it, I think it is www.waterfire.org or something similar.

take a look, they have a varied schedule. I worked it a few years ago and it was decent. I just showed up

it is an interesting thing at the very least. a bunch of bonfires floating on the river while music plays and a gondolla goes up and down putting more wood on and keeping them going.

I do not know if it has become more or less organized over the past years.

anyone else know anything about it?
