Busking in Chicago?

Hello, anyone know of any good spots to busk balloons in Chicago? i have a street performers license and know the Miracle Mile is off-limits but what about Millennium Park? Daley Plaza? Any other good spots?

I've heard people work the zoo. I've never done it myself.

I was there last year. You can't really perform in any of the parks unless there is a festival going on. You can however perform outside of millenium park on the sidewalk. My recommendation is cut your losses and get the hell outa that place. It's one of the worst places I've ever performed but hopefully someone will be kind enough to let you know of some secret pitch no one knows about.

Oh wait, you do balloons? Yeah, go right outside of millenium park. There is a local balloon guy there. He's been roun for quite a while I think and seems to do okay. That must be the pitch for balloon dudes otherwise I'm sure he'd be somewhere else.

Yeah, although it did suck Les Claypool caught one of my shows out there and invited me to hang out with the band later that night at Vic's Theatre. He was playing with frogs brigade. Before the opening band ended the stage manager asked if I was getting on but I didn't know anything about it and my stuff was locked up somewhere in the basement! I felt like a chump after missin that chance. Anyway, have fun buddy.
