$1 permit. keep movings the rule cops and shops have problem w/ crowds. seems to be all right under board walk sign [big pitch]. lots of walkers. easy crowd build, moneys good. strolling performers like balloons do great. i do 10 min sidewalk magic show and keep movin. i do 30min under sign with no problems. hotels expensive. coin machine at grocery. really long board walk.

went back this summer and the permits went up to $7.
stay out of the way of the train and control the crowds on the boardwalk and the cops are cool. -

Thanx for the heads-up. I was there in July. License fee paid for itself in the first three and a half minutes. Played only one night. Din was too great. Didn't impede hats, but I blew my voice out. My rig is particularly immobile, but no one griped at me. Controlling the size of the crowd certainly helped.
All camp grounds filled up with reservations. New car isn't big enough to sleep in. BOY was that motel expensive!
Be home before long from the Northeast on what I have come to call my "hurricane pre-evacuation tour."
