    Clearwater Beach Pier 60

Our lovely city signed a new five year contract bringing The Ironman Competition here. The event is Nov.11th and is expected to bring 10,000 room nights to what is typically the wors time of the year. 1800 athletes, their trainers and families will converge on Clearwater Beach.

    It's almost time

2000 athletes and the entourage will be ascending upon Clearwater Beach this week for the Ford Ironman 70.3 Competition. We are expecting big crowds!! This is the last step before they go to Kona, Hawaii.

I am hoping some other performers would come and take advantage of what's typically a slow time and the right into the Thanksgiving Holiday, which is typically a good time for shows.

On most nights, It's just me, I also have a break dance group that comes when they can and a statue.

If you're in this neck of the woods, show up about 3:30. I assign piches about 4pm

      Hey Dallas,

Probably the same folks that were here in Panama City Beach this past weekend for our triathalon. Nice folks. Spent some good bucks at the park where we work.

(Don't know if Rick told you we're off the street and took a job)

Any performers in the area who don't come out are definately missing the boat. Pier 60 has got to be one of the best run and nicest places to perform. Except for Bob.

      Hope all is well.

Well if you love god, country and overalls...,

Pretty much a lot of crappy shows following the same formula.

Song and dance, a guy with a goofy hat/glasses/teeth as comedic relief, constant hammering of merchandise sales and a shameless "Let's salute our veterans by having them stand" at the end of the show for a round of applause while the band breaks into "God Bless America" which forces the rest of the audience to rise up and break into a 'spontaneous' standing ovation.

That describes the majority of the 120 shows there.

On the other hand, the money wasn't bad for 2 fifteen minute sets a day.

If you're ever up this way, make sure you drop us a line.

i'll be coming up that way on my route to French Quarter Festival in April I believe. Would love to knock down a couple brews with you two. I "popped" the question Saturday evening to Sharon during a sunset. She said yes.

First show of the night I got a $50.00 bill from a guy who then came up asked for it back, then handed me $100.00 bill. This started the night off on a GOOD start. That makes #8!!!!!!

I've been doing alot of the local seafood festivals on the weekends and things have been going quite well. We live on the North end of the Beach, so if you guys ever wanna come down.....

              Congratulations!

Sounds like a great finish for the year. We still get the occassional call from central Fl, but we've upped our price substantially because of travel and all the shit we need to haul so I don't think we'll be back for awhile. Unless we get tired of the job, anyway.

Definately call when passing through. I understand this place rocks during Spring Break. It was the site of most of the Girls Gone Wild videos

Will send you an email with our contact info later

              Mark.

                        ironman 70.3 world championships

Well, the event brought huge numbers of people to our beach during what is usually a slow time. Unfortunately because it was the first of five years we will be hosting the event, some kinks need to be worked out.

all in all, i made very good money. and will be looking forward to next year.

                            Christmas & New Years

In just a few short weeks, our pitch will be rockin' again. Huge family crowds. Also, right after New Years, the Outback Bowl is held in Tampa and draws huge crowds to the beach.

I don't mind makin' all the $$, but the door is open for some acts to come share with me....

I know cheap accomodations, i might even have a couch available.

There is a hostel just a few blocks from the pitch which is $15.00 a night.

Give me a call if you have any questions 727-687-8479. Space is kinda limited.
