    Grand Rapids, Michigan

I'm in beautiful downtown Grand Rapids Michigan for the NACA College Conference this weekend, and - yes! - I met a real busker yesterday. He was sitting on a bench on Fulton Street, playing his saxophone. I dropped a $5 into his case (what goes around, comes around) and wished him well. It could be a long winter.

I also met Josh the juggler here who's - no kidding - a member of p.net. Josh and I are both represented by the same agency, as is Dale K the hypnotist/comedian who we had a few drinks with on Thursday night. Dale has very eye-catching spikey hair, and complains about everything under the sun. I can't wait to see his show.

      Brrrrrrr...

Nope - it's getting too chilly in October.

There's also a nice central park with fountains, benches & lawns that is probably a great summer venue. Fulton Street has a farmers market that includes artists, a photographer, and plenty of space for musicians or anyone else.

      It's a nice city. I hope I'll be back.

          Hey

Hey Paul. It was good to meet you in GR and check out your big face/s! Grand Rapids is a strange town, it's a big huge city but not a whole lot of walking traffic. I know they have some festivals there in the summer. Nearby in some of the Lake Michigan coastal towns, there is some street performing to be had. Anyway, best of luck to you and hope you got some work.

          Josh
