I am thinking about going to Europe for winter, I do not think there's any city in USA I want to hang out till they open New Orleans, so I am looking for a reliable connection with Barcelona buskers - I do not need any free housing or financial support, but I want to ship my displays and paints there, so I can go through the customs without work visa. I would also appriciate if I can crash with you for a couple of days till I find the best deal on a room in a hostel or guest house. Thanks! Mardi Gras lives!

If you're looking for a cheap hostel in Barcelona, here's the info of the one I stayed at for a month or so.

If you pay per week and in advance, you get a special price which comes down to fifteen euros a day. Impossible to get anything cheaper. And guess what? It's a clean enough place and at walking distance from lower Ramblas.

Also, there is a perfume shop on Ramblas which sells theater style facepaint (Kryolan and Laukron) in a wide range of colours. Don't know the exact number of the building, but the store is called Prat (meaning "meadow" in catalan) and is located between Ferran and Boqueria streets.
