I have just received an email asking me to support saving Royal St. as a Pedestrian Mall during daytime shopping. It appears that one of the merchants is asking the City Council to return it to a normal car traffic street.
This is because they object to the "constant din" put forth by buskers. Of course that would reduce the pitches down to almost zero in this town.
And surely a good musical group sounds better than the sound of traffic in a really narrow street? No accounting for tastes!
