    NO

haven't been, but would like to know if anyone has also. I had a freind who went to the city where Bjork comes from, and he said they have a very lively night life and just about all the young folk speak english.

I think it would be amazing, a whole island full of folk who most likely have limited busking scene.
There is an arts festival there that starts May14 to the 5th of june. But mostly visual some shows.
Think it is diffucult to get there from scotland?

        arts festival

The entire counties population is 280,000
Reykjavk's the main town, Its got a downtown area and part of it is pedestrianized, it's workable but it's frontier town for street performance. I was working at a nightclub but I did some street shows.
        Its a small town really.
Very very like dante really intoxicated public outpouring at 3 when all the clubs close.
I'd go there with enough in hand to survive without the busk, just me.
I got there from copenhagen, icelands administrated by the Danish.
Its got hot pools that used to be free but now cost, and you used to be able to soak anytime and now its fenced and regulated.
Get in touch with a club there, see if they'll bite.

            spoonfed you not

No idea which club, they change names/themes fairly regularly. Theres about 3.
Ones in the old picture theatre and is/was owned by the brother of the guy who owns the Britanicca and a couple of other bars in Copenhagen.
            Just go fishing. Bars/event companies/calendar
Then, after a weekend contract, sidle up and tell them you've worked out over the weekend how to efficiently work the space quite well and you'd be prepared to put your ticket off and work another weekend if they could find somewhere to put you for the week. They'll be a short gap and then if your lucky they'll go 'Would you?"
            Instant double your fee!
I got a windswept 5 star in the middle of a desolate valley with all expenses between the weekends. It was so long ago I asked for a typewriter to go with my beer and they fetched one.

                    a week in iceland

If you just want to test the waters for a week, Iceland Air used to have a deal that if you fly on their planes to somewhere besides Iceland but have a layover in Reykjavik they will let you stay there for up to a week for no extra charge.

                    That was all one sentence.
