    Madrid and Cadiz, Spain

I will be travelling to the two cities of Madrid and Cadiz, Spain in the next several weeks and am wondering where I might to go to find buskers.

I'm also wondering if anyone has ever tried busking in Cadiz and knows what restrictions might be in place.

    Thanks,
    Uncle Yodie

I was in Cadiz, last year, theres no restrictions as far as I could make out. Its one of the poorest places in Spain with the lowest per annual incomes and the highest personal debt but theres cruise ships dock there very regularily. Theres 2 main large squares and various walking streets, one of which performers work on, (the others too narrow)
There is also, a couple of blocks from the main inner square, a courtyard with a church and a cafe/bar, It seems to be the hidden sweetspot as the local bigwigs go to that church and hang out at that bar with their families. Its not so much a tourist spot and the locals appreciate the entertainment there and are generous.
Find me an online map of Cadiz and I'll direct you to this particular spot.

Passed through but didn't work it. Was told that it was difficult with police being actively prohibitive and told also that performers who used to go there had dwindled as they got increasingly fed up with their vehicles being broken into while they were out and about. Someone else who's been there recently would be able to give you more info.

Thank you, Martin, for your feedback. I'll be spending most of my time in Cadiz so your info for there was particularly helpful.

          sevilla

5 years ago my wife and I did sevilla, it worked well in the tourist areas but we got hassled by the over zealous cops, we got a licence which took days to get and it cost 12 euros per day, per square metre!!!
when we worked we got measured!
