Long Beach, CA.. check it out

    hi all,
recently did my first real saturday show!
(thanx to all of you for your input on the site)
anyhow, i did well on the long beach pier on the last patch of grass before the shops/restaurants start. in my eyes i was successful (made 28$ in an hour and a half, how does that compare? does that # actually suck?) i was contact juggling. i recommend this spot to people who may be just passing thru town or whatnot. no hassles by police or shopowners and a constant flow of people.

$28 for 90 min. No, that does not suck at all.
money can be a good indicator of how you are doing, and concern with it can also kill your ability to grow and develope as a street performer. $ is largely an indicator of how well you work your hat lines.

since you are looking for a refrence: $28 is nothing. you will have some worse days and you will probably have much much better days in the future. Just keep having fun and stay off the rock. If you are gonna think about money a lot and make it a profession: don't think about it as how much you're making per hour; think about it in terms of $ per day/week. Don't tell people what you make, tell them "I'm not starving and I'm not rich yet".

I'll make sure to check out long beach next time in lala land. thanks for the tip.

    good luck.
