Been here now for three weeks almost and had a hatful of experiences which I won't bother you with. At this time, the local street scene is as follows: mainly musicians (most notably this shit-hot gipsy jazz duo made up out of one fiddler on a seat and his guitarist sidekick) and a magician who every time I walk by is trying to swallow a balloon. There's also another living statue (golden guy with a would-be movie camera). Police here are possibly among the most relaxed in France, even allowing modest amps. I've heard it said that in the summer time the whole place is "heaving" with tourists which could be true as it's on the Mediterranean coast. There are even some around now, so there you go. Areas to perform aren't hard to find as there's both a huge square (by European standards at least) and a quite extensive commercial pedestrian area in the center, about five minutes on foot away from the train station. Oh, and as far as the income goes there's good days and bad days. Bit like real life, innit??
