Help! Busking in Spain n UK

Hi guys, I'm a flutist who's going to travel to Spain n UK soon. I have never done busking in my life, tho I've always wanted to. So I am going to start with this trip. Hopefully, it will cover some costs of my travel But I don't really know where to start. Are permits needed in Spain to busk? Or can i do it at any square n market? Where are the best kinds of places to busk in Spain? How about UK?
All I've read about busking here seems to be about comedy acts or some death defying exciting things, errrrrrr, does anybody know whether flutes will do as well? Thank you all for your help!

I've only done Granada, Barcelona and Madrid ... the people of Spain are wonderful (but poor) ... sometimes it's necessary for them to steal ... like Italy, almost every town has a central piazza (or something like it) ... I couldn't imagine a permit needed anywhere (I'd be surprised) ... check out www.artistederue.com ... like you, it's new.

P.S. the UK is a whole other dustbin of wax ... and they speak funny.
