    San Francisco

I've heard conflicting reports about the current state of street performing in San Francisco. Last time I was there, I worked Fisherman's Wharf, and it didn't make me want to come back. The crowds were receptive enough, but the lack of good pitches and the other "perfromers" (mostly terrible attempts at statue-mime) were too much.

I've heard, though, that Union Square may have opened up. Also, I don't know what the current state is of Pier 39. Is there anyone who works in San Fran who could tell us the state of the street scene? I'm thinking of going to graduate school there, and I'd I'm trying to suss out if I can make a living with a circle show there.

Feel free to audition for Pier 39, you have to talk to Scott Meltzer (the Pier 39 guys should pipe up on this one), but they don't always need or want additional acts. Feel free to try to open up Union Square. Or feel free to come work with me on the Circle. If you didn't see any other circle shows, you were probably out during the day, we work after 5 or 6, for various reasons.
